I just lost my best friend and I don't really feel anything. They kept pushing me away because they didn't want to get close to anyone. Said they were okay just being friends with me just not clothes anymore. We've been friends for three years and I've done nothing to cause them to feel I'd betray them.Stuck with them through all their shit. Told them personal shit.And in the end they reject me. I was sick of their shit and said I was done.

I had a friend who was always mildly annoying, like talking all the time, interrupting people, not listening. All he ever wanted to do was hang out in his basement and get high and watch tv. Then when we'd go out he'd say "nah how about you come hang out at my place?" Then he'd bitch and blame us for never wanting to hang out with him. I just stopped talking to him eventually.
Kinda going through that right now. My only friend in this shithole town.
I did so much for him, I talked my dad into hiring him, then he quit two weeks in. I got him connected with a job coach, talked local business owners into giving him an interview. Gave him rides to go with me to smash bros. tournaments, at times, fed him.
Now he's not talking to me because I'm "abusive" and "immature". When I'm employed full time and independent and he's living at home, a KV doing nothing but begging mummy for money.
All I did was punch him in the arm when we were messing around, and said stuff like "get rekt" when we were playing video games. To him that is, per his words, "verbal and physical abuse" and his therapist says that it's not okay.
It sucks that don't have any non-work related contacts in town, but I guess it's for the best and I can rest easy knowing that I have friends in other nearby towns, and I'm independent.
