Some possible paths:
World continues to deteriorate as it has been since the 60s. Slight exponential growth in degeneracy continues (world got worse between 2000 and 2010 than between 1990 and 2000). Things get a decent bit shittier, basically. This is the most likely option.
World boils over into a cataclysmic culture war. Election of Trump possible catalyst. Might be fun for those invested in it, will be awful for those against both sides like me. Very unlikely but fun to imagine.
Virtual reality saves us all. Constant possibility of lucid dream state. Basic income provided by tech companies, spent on hardware/software upgrades. End up ruled by corporate fascism but no one cares. More likely than most think.

Last nite I got myself a McFlurry like pic related, and I noticed there was a slight sour aftertaste. It didn't smell spoiled, so I reluctantly finished eating it.

I don't think that human beings have much control over their preferences. Is someone morally wrong for not enjoying the taste of broccoli? Are they culpable for not enjoying hip-hop or bluegrass?
There is a certain type of personality, typically highly introverted, that is prone to misanthropy. For whatever reasons (likely partly biological, partly environmental) they don't feel warmth and gregariousness for the vast majority of their fellow human beings.
In my view, this is okay. In many ways, it's more of a preferential aesthetic judgment than anything else. As long as you aren't willingly acting out against others, ruining their lives, shooting up schools, etc., it's morally neutral to be misanthropic.
And while there are obvious negatives to such a mindset, there are also positives. Stop beating yourself up about it. Accept who you are, know thyself, and try to use your unique perspective in the most productive and fulfilling way you can.

I've read Thus Spake, and I find that the book is annoyingly vague and pretentious while containing precious little meaning. We never learn what the Superman is or does. We never learn what is the thing that died and that Nietzsche calls "god" (my feeling is that he is simply referring to traditional morality and the traditional way of life in the Christian world). We never learn what kind of morality should come next.
I have rarely been so utterly bored reading a book. I think that Nietzsche had nothing to say and, in fact, didn't say it.
