Anyone here ever try and leave 4chan forever? What was your experience with life after leaving? What made you come back?
I go in and out, sometimes the faggotry of certain anons turn me off coming back for a month or two but I get sucked back in somehow.
You just can't beat an anonymous community, forums can be useful but the dicksucking of mods and general egos of people on those places is even more unpleasant than seeing the occasional penis or cuckold thread on my screen.
I can't fucking do it. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I just noticed today that my depression started when I started browsing this site: eight fucking years ago.

A friend of mine died earlier this year and this was my first time experiencing a death, aside from my grandfather dying when I was like 5 which I barely remember.
There was a whole bunch of shit that was hard to deal with about the wake/funeral:

The wake was open casket and IDK I found seeing his body sort of disturbing. It's hard to put into words, sort of uncanny valley I guess. It's weird to see someone truly dead, they look uh... 'Deader' than you were expecting, or something.

I hadn't really hung out with this guy since high school, like 2007ish, so I wasn't terribly torn up. Then I go to the wake and like half the people there are in serious mourning. I was there talking to some other high school friends and it was like, we just stood around trying to look respectful and not laugh at anything, because we knew there were like close family around and shit who were seriously bereaved. My friend remarked to me afterward, "well, that was awkward," and truth be told it was.
Grandad
He was actually my real granddad's brother but Mum's Dad died long before I were born and he stepped in and married my grandma (like a good brother should (!))
There was one time he lost his rag with me when I were five or six and my dad and a couple of his brothers set him the fuck straight. Otherwise, he was pretty chill with me. He wasn't an unintelligent man and would actually take me to botanical gardens, observatories and museums as well as teach me calculus. All told, he was decent with me. I guess that as he did such a shit job raising his children and my mum, I was his chance at redemption.
When he died, I was kinda numb but not sad. Indeed, during the funeral procession, my dad put the radio on (he hates silence).

I started dancing because it's a fucking cool song but when it got to the chorus, we (me, my dad and two brothers) were in fits of laughter because two cars ahead, there was "granddad" in a fucking box.
There eulogies were short and forced. I touched the coffin and whispered "Thanks for the stuff you taught me".
At the wake, me and my brother remarked on how much of a cunt he was to my mum and my grandma then we split and got fucking wasted and blew a twatload of money on horses for the fuck of it... All while laughing about that song in the car.
Incidentally, my greyhound shared a name with my granddad by accident and I went into deep mourning for that dude. Bill was friend.

I am a NEET and need to start earning some money as my mom has cut off everything but the bare necessities (no more Reese's Puffs, sprite, ps4, bus passes, etc). I think she'd cut off internet if she knew she could sever my connection while still maintaining hers, but luckily she doesn't.
