feels good to not be a wagecuck, i'm all set up from previous financing of my business and now people think i'm "between jobs" and i've even gone as far as to move in with my family so I don't get bored of being alone and make impulse purchases. Hey /rk9/, I have a dilemma. Currently I work as a maintenance assistant for a company in the automotive industry. When I started, i was in a different position and I didn't mind the job much and had an "it is what it is" attitude. I went to work and did my job and everything was fine. As time went on I started getting more and more annoyed at this place. I've worked here for two years and it's gotten progressively worse every day. I originally liked where I work, and now I loathe it. The beauacracy, needless changes, and blatantly ignoring "if it ain't broke don't fix it" common sense practices. I am at wit's end. I have about six grand saved up, live on my own, and have very few other bills. I want to quit and say to hell with this place, but honestly I'm scared of doing that without another job lined up. I'd be fine for a while, but I have been homeless before and I'm concerned about that happening again. What would you do?
TL;Dr I fucking hate my job but am scared of being homeless despite having money put away for emergencies like this. Wanna quit, what do?
Find a new job and then quit this one. I'm doing the same thing and it helps to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to work well enough to not get fired in the meantime.
