Do bartenders actually talk to people about their woes and events happening in their life?
I've been thinking of getting a job as a bartender at a calm bar somewhere in the city where I live just because it's always seemed like a /comfy/ sort of job and I could use the money. I've always been interested in hearing about people's problems and issues in life so it'd really make the job worth it if bartenders actually did have conversations with their customers.
Any bartenders here have any advice they can to share? It'd be really appreciated

depends how busy it is, most city bars you won't even have time to piss during your 8 hour shift let alone talk to anyone. I suppose if you work in a bar in the middle of no where then you'll get to know the regulars but as they are most likely alcoholics then it will generally be the same stories from them every night about how they almost became famous/worked a very successful job but lost it all in the recession/their bitch wife left them/complaining about muslims or immigrants.
