I've been thinking about doing it. Investing seems like a pretty broken life strategy. I've wasted all this time getting good at MTG, Chess, Poker, and fighting games. Surely I can learn a few broken tactics to mop up some scrubs in the financial game and earn enough to move out of my parents house.

Why can't you guys just ask questions?
I know some of you just don't care who you talk to and thats fine but thats the point of conversation: to get to know someone and discuss things
It feels like shit when you're the only one putting anything out there
Its a trade off if someone asks you the kind of music you like you should tell them THEN out of courtesy ask them their preference in return
Sure it feels good to share your tastes and experiences when someone asks but you should extend that to the other person and let them share their own thoughts
Any time that I try to talk to someone it ends up with me just asking them a few questions, them answering, then after a bit I feel like they're just not interested in me and I ask them if they're just busy doing something or if they just don't wanna talk and I ALWAYS get the "I'm just not good at conversation" meme
I'm super self conscious so I just tend to overthink when someone says only a little bit, if I ask you a question and you give me a one word answer I assume you just don't want to talk

I don't even get why you are trying to find people to talk to on Skype. Fucking pointless. It's even more pointless when you try to find people to talk to that are on /r9k/. I'm in the current process out outlining a fiction novel I have been wanting to write for years.
And by outlining I mean condensing my shit-ton of ideas into something that would be worth something more than dirt.
I think I have a few good ones that'll at least be fun for me to write about, even if it never publishes and sees the light of day.
I like to write. I write a mix of serious stuff that I put a lot of time and careful thought into and have friends and peers read over and edit, and then when I'm totally bored I write trashy smut on the side.

/r9k/, I need help. About last year in June, i signed up for a gym membership so I can continue building muscle. I was underage at the time, so being the foolish person I was, I went through and signed the contract.
Fast forward to last year, Im grown now, and I slowly start backtracking on payments, yet I always pay them no matter what. Eventually, the seasons come, and in December I completely stop going.
I received e-mails and calls about me falling behind on my payments and that if I wish to continue going I had to pay. I never went the times I was in debt, so I ignored it trying to figure out a way to pay this all off.
I check my email and check their most recent email, which involves them saying my membership was canceled and that they may take legal action to collect debts.
"If we do not receive payment within (5) days to bring your membership current, we will recommend our client take further action to collect the entire balance due on your membership. These actions could include but are not limited to forwarding your membership to a collection agency or taking formal legal action against you."
Exact words, from the email, but i have not gotten one email, letter, call, etc since March when they sent thst out. My father cosigned when I was young last year, but he isn't legal in the States.
My point is, what will they do? Are they more worried about other things rather than a mere $300, or would they be jews and spend more money collecting the $300? I plan on paying it eventually.
