I did something like that for quite some time. It was a steamed mix of different vegetables, rotisserie chicken, and cooked quinoa. I would mix in some D E L I C I O U S homemade pesto at the end, and top it off with a poached egg and a little worchestershire sauce.
I switched up the veggies every week to keep it interesting.

I think it might have to to with information consumption. The autism diagnoses correlate with increased info consumption if you look at trends in recent years.
