Who Magic here?
I've never been into card games, but a college friend of mine introduced me to magic. Its tons of fun, played with him a bunch over the past year. Always used his decks though.
Just recently bought a starter deck to mess around with. Though I have nobody to play with over the summer.
i love magic, been playing every since my neighbor gave me a bunch of old cards when i was young

Like I said, I played with my friends decks mostly.
My personal favorite of his was a counter deck. Lots of fun stacking counters on creatures.
The deck I just bought is a red/blue deck with an ability called "surge". Basically the idea is you throw down a card for normal mana cost, and then subsequent cards with surge can be used at a reduced cost.
Seems pretty cool, but I've yet to use it.

It's alright. I've been playing on and off since 2003. Competitive Magic is way too expensive though. Would not recommend.
For casual play or pauper events (decks made from only common cards) it's fine.

Any NEETs here leave neetdom and get a job? How did it work out for you? Here is my experience so far :
I was a NEET since I finished school, and it definitely was a relaxing time of my life. I watched lots of anime, played lots of vidya and even learned a musical instrument. Sure, I was a depressed deep down, but I had a fun time.
At the beginning of this year I finally got a job. It's a pretty high paying job considering I have no degree(just over double what minimum wage is in my country), and I have to work 12 hour shifts 3 days a week.
While it sounds pretty good, I actually hate it with a passion. I honestly feel worse now than I did in high school, and that's really bad considering I hated high school with a passion.
My female managers are always picking on me or shouting at me, clients on the phone are always screaming at me, and it's a nightmare working with the other people in the office.
I legitimately want to kill myself whenever I'm there, so I want to quit, but at the same time it seems stupid throwing away such a high paying job for a degree less former NEET such as myself.
3 12 hour days souns like shit. Wouldn't you prefer 4 9 hour days?
