But a girlfriend I would be able to be as clingy as possible with I feel like, spending all the time working on things and doing things together, and so I daydream about this more often.
The only sort-of friends I've had I've just met up with maybe once every week or few weeks to work on one thing in particular, and they're usually not too enthused with my ideas or as into the interest as I am, so I constantly feel like I'm just bothering them and boring the shit out of them and pushing them into things.
It would be ideal, I think, to have a girlfriend to live with me, or at least text me frequently to get me to do things with her, and I could do the same with her so we could both be encouraging each other.

There are people who literally have friends. A group, or more than one group of people that talk to them just about every day, who are interested in their thoughts, feelings and what's going on in their life. People want to be around them so much that they will go out of their way to invite them to social functions. There are people who never don't have weekend plans, who spend Friday afternoon to Sunday night doing something other than staring at a computer screen in their room. Some people have so many friends that they'll be invited to multiple places, they have to make a choice about where to go on a given night and have to disappoint some people who wanted them to be at a different place, and this is a regular occurrence for them.
