Enviormentalists complain about 'muh humans', but atleast we can comprehend what we do and we might actually be able to take steps to correct all of the terrible things we do. Even when we kill animals for food, we have enough decency to do it in a relatively painless and humane way. Meat eating animals, on the other hand, see nothing wrong with ripping each other to shreds and causing suffering. Even if they did they aren't intelligent enough to change it.
Think about it; we can keeps cows and chickens and all the other tasty animals we like to eat, but lions and cheetahs and Komodo dragons and etc. should be put down or trained to eat synthetic meat or meat we humanely kill. Maybe we can use genetic engineering to get them to change their ways or maybe we can trap them all in really large reserves and create robots layered in meat that mimic their natural preys.
