I can't understand why they are so interested in each other. Unless someone is truly fascinating or has contributed something amazing to the world people are generally completely dull and uninteresting and nothing more than a glorified meatbag.
Some people enjoy the buzz and busy atmosphere of having people around. The people themselves are somewhat unimportant, like being at a concert or in a pub.
Some people don't cope well with being alone. Being around others stops them from focusing on their fear of solitude.
It's very hard to find the truly interesting and fascinating people without speaking to people first, which invariably means socialising with people you might not like. it also helps to be open to the idea that someone can be interesting and fascinating in many different ways.
