I've got some questions for the board if you guys would like to fill me in on some things.
Backstory - Been on /b/ since I was 15 (underage b&) and I'm 23 now, so I've seen some of the best and worst times of it.
Used to hear about r9k a lot back in day about it being /b/s somehow more autistic cousin.
Now the questions.
1. Is r9k now objectively better than /b/?
2. I've scrolled the front page and haven't seen many circle jerk roll, porn or trap threads, is this the usual?
3. Do people actually have conversations here?
4. Most important question and related to the other 3, has the cancer spread here and do underage b&s post here or do they actually fucking lurk moar?

1. I'd say so, since it's possible to actually have a discussion on this board and there's less cancer.
2. Yes, there's much more of that on /b/ these days and less here.
3. Sometimes. There's still a lot of meme remarks like "kys faggot" and ">still doing this in 2016" though.

I think the idea of it is better than /b/, because with /b/'s lack of actual guidelines, you end up getting a bunch of furry porn and just random nude threads.

There seems to be only one or two trap threads a day tops, but they tend to not last very long.

I hear all of these things about how it really did seem like it was a digital Wild West back in its early stages, and that seemed really cool. I've been going through Reocities a lot and it's really interesting to look at all of the old Geocities pages that they've salvaged. There's something so charming about its eye-searing design and goofy editing. Like there was an air of innocence that just isn't around anymore.
I will admit that I'm in no way complaining about the convenience of all of our information being so centralized, but sometimes I hear all of these reflections on the past before the Internet became this widely controlled and centralized thing and I can't help but feel like I seriously missed out.
I guess it's hard to articulate my point because my stupid brain can't type very well so late at night, but I wish I could've experienced what the Internet was like when it was new and I guess you can say "untamed."
the darknet is not dissimilar to web 1.0, except it has a lot more pedo shit
but if you avoid that it's a similar experience in terms of general jankiness and wackiness

How the FUCK do you guys get rid of acne?
Its not like a pimple here and there its covering both sides of my face. Its pretty much pic related but a bit worse. I use OTC scrubs and soaps, wash daily, and even use a prescription cream. What else have you guys done to complete rid of it?

Personally, I stopped washing my face with any kind of cleanser and just rinsed my face really good in the shower every day. Even gentle face cleaner would dry my face out like crazy and create more acne, so I just stopped using it altogether.
accutane, if your dermatologist is a cuck who prescribes you antibiotics just source accutane only(will be more expensive but whatever)
When I was 17 (24 now), I was prescribed Accutane. That shit worked wonders, although the side-effects of extreme skin dryness were a bit irritating.
Didn't experience any significant mental side-effects, as seem common. Pretty sure there was some big hooplah about the drug years back.
Anyway, I never really stuck to any skin-care regimen before or since, and I'm pretty much blemish-free 7 years later.
