I have a few questions for people who were diagnosed with a mental/psychological condition by a medical professional:
What is your condition and what treatments do you receive for it?
Was it worth it to have your condition diagnosed?
Would you say that you feel better, as a whole?
Would you recommend that someone suffering from your condition or similar conditions seek medical help or does the treatment and stigma outweigh it?
I'm borderline and know one day someone will tick me off the wrong way and i'll do something really stupid which is why I avoid most social interactions .

I was diagnosed with having depression and suicidal ideation. Treatments? Wide variety of meds. Wellbutrin, Zoloft, Prozac, and many others I can't remember. Kinda along the lines of "Well, let's try this and see if it works...because we haven't yet"

No. The underlying problems that cause your depression aren't going to go away. Professional help isn't going to change that.

So-So. I quit taking psychiatric drugs. I also try not to expose myself to as much stress as I used to. Eventually the anxiety of youth will go away anyway when all your fears come to fruition and you find yourself the loser you always hoped and prayed you'd never become. Once I hit 30, I just quit caring so much about my life going nowhere despite working my ass off to be successful. Knowing that success will elude me no matter how hard I work at life, I'm much less stressed trying to make something of myself.

Seems pretty pointless. Reality if the problem. Professional psychiatric help isn't going to change it. It's better just to learn to live with it.
I was diagnosed with "clinical depression" and went to a therapist once a week for 4 years.
worth it is hard to say because I don't feel like it wasn't something i knew. But maybe it was because at least some people were more understanding of me being a boring downer all the time.
I feel much better now but I don't think it really had anything to do with the therapy. The major changes I made in my life that I think made the difference are not related to what I did in therapy.
Something like this is so specific to the person that its really just going to come down to if the specific treatment worked for the specific person. So its not really something I can recommend, but I would say keep an open mind for different treatments.

I live under the totalitarian rule of an unfair, despicable ogre AKA my dad. Just because I am not employed, he thinks he has the right to enforce arbitrary dietary restrictions and treat me like a child. Okay, I am overweight and it is "his" house, that still doesn't give him any right.
Anyway, one of the humiliations he puts me through (and in front of my cunt of a stepmother) is to "allow" me one can of Pringles per week as a "treat" (as if I am a dog and not his human son). Of course the first time he did this I ate them in one sitting and he of course shamed me and refused to buy me a new can until the following week. Now I have to walk for 30 min 3 times a week and can only eat certain amount of Pringles per day - yes, he actually draws 6 lines on the can and occasionally checks to see if I surpassed them. If I eat too many he throws the whole can out and doesn't buy them for an additional week because he is an asshole who cheated on my mother and has to make my life hell.
With that background, now you know my predicament. I ate 3/4 of a can Wednesday night due to my diagnoses depression and in a fit of creativity and intelligence, I cut the appropriate length from a paper towel cardboard tube and balanced the remaining Pringles on them. The weight isn't good but they clearly look like they are at the appropriate line.
But I'm worried this won't go unnoticed for the next 5 days and am wondering if /r9k/ can give me advice on how to make homemade Pringles? This way I can use them as "filler". Please /r9k/ I really need this and the flavor doesn't matter, the prick doesn't scrutinize that much.
