Let's say a 10 point scale is used for how your good your life is and for how good you expect your life to be. Most of you expect a 5 and have a 3. I expect a 10 and have a 6. It's the deficit between what you have and what you expect and what you have that matters, not the just what you have. I'm in more emotional pain than any of you.
You might say it's my fault for expecting a 10. That 10 derives from my genius, the work I've put in, and my pride. The argument to be Buddhist and want less doesn't work. You can only want less if you have no pride. Furthermore, my current 6 is only through the work I've put in. Most my life has been at a 3 while still expecting a 10. None of you has come close to the pain I've felt.

What type? My dad had cancer but it was extremely easy to remove and had like no adverse health effect except he has to speak with a speech impediment for a few weeks.

my friend is 27yo and basically has no meaningful job prospects, he has been in and out of jail and for the past year was escorting for money. he's a chad though in that he's tall, lean, tan, and extroverted with a decent face.
he's moving in with a girl that has a 6 month old daughter. the dad is in jail, and the daughter is so young she will probably suspect my friendnia her actual dad.
imagine if you were in this situation, and the alternative is staying single forever and having no gf. would you raise a little girl that isn't yours? to me it doesn't seem nearly as bad as raising some other man's son but idk desu, the desperation is strong

Don't do it. Just don't. I got a 170 on the LSAT and came to the same realization as you. I went back to school for a technical master's degree instead and never looked back. You will make a little less, but you won't be working 100 hour weeks and not have time for a life.

Because r9k'ers suffer from depression and don't realize they can (mostly) easily solve their problems with drugs and actually become a more sociable outgoing person.
Obviously it would take some effort on other levels too but once you've got the mindset you don't really mind going through that.
