Well, last night I asked an anon for advice about how to respond to someone telling me they had feelings for me, and I tried to use it today. I was asked to post the result, and I feel I owe that much.
To give some preface, I have basically no social skills. I called her an told her that I felt similarly, but that I would like to take some time to get to know one another. We had a conversation that lasted about twelve minutes, and for most of it I was just asking random questions about her work, her interests, and her future ambitions. It was quite difficult because I had to lead the conversation despite having no idea how to do so, and there were several silences throughout.
The conversation ended with the following exchange:

One a scale of 1 to 10, how much did I fuck it up, and what am I supposed to do from here on out? You said you wanted to get to know her before you got into a serious relationship and if she's willing to do that, then she'll stay through your questions. However, be sure to be honest in telling her about yourself too. A relationship where you both don't know each other is pointless, even if you may not have much to say about your solitary lifestyle.

Right now I will be doing what I've been doing for 18 months now. Mindlessly going to work 10 hours a day, saving money I never spend, being too frugal to buy a car and walk a mile to work, only spending money on food, rent, comed, and internet bill. Which I tediously budget hardcore. Its just what happened to me after I got myself out of homelessness. I can't enjoy things anymore besides my cheap whisky and cigarettes at this time of day. On the weekends its just the same, except no work. I just eat, internet surf, and get drunk and smoke. All in solidarity. I'm actually beginning to like it (mostly because I enjoy routine)
I know the saving up money is good for me, and my credit score is great for my age, but my life has no joy.
