I had my heart smashed after the only person I had a warm bond with (shitty family and all that) left me after 6 years. Can't hold down relationships anymore and sometimes have breakdowns where I leave people because I'm fearful they secretly resent me.
Ended up with abandonment issues so bad the therapist ended up crying when I first spoke about them, kek.
But yeah, get a therapist who'll held condition your brain back to functionality. It's been helping me a lot more than any sort of "follow your dreams" or "do more fun things" advice.
