There's no such thing as an absolute right and wrong. If society or your parents view it as wrong, and they have the power to proclaim it so, such is how it will be viewed by them. There is no such thing as an "intrinsic" value, life has whatever value you assign to. There is no objective value or non-value to life or anything else for that matter, if a subject exists to proclaim something with value, it exists in so far as they see it that way.
