For me, I have a huge emotional deficit. I have a lot of trouble feeling and expressing emotion and returning it at appropriate times. I've been working with my therapist on this for months but it's slow going. I most definitely have emotions! I'm just not connected with them in the slightest

The dad is right. The daughter and her boyfriend are most likely trying to have sex. I'd say that unless your kids are at least 18, you shouldn't condone it. It's best to wait until you're at least a full adult before doing it, in my opinion. Even if it happens when they're in high school, at least don't just allow them to do it.
I'm kind of disturbed that the mom is totally okay with this situation. And not wanting her to have sex when she's still technically a kid isn't going to make her ashamed of sex or whatever. She can do it when she's an adult, and then it'll be her business. I'm honestly surprised that there are parents who are fine with their children having sex while they're still a minor.
