The real problem is that women have a different understanding of what "lonely" is.
When women complain about "loneliness", their complaint is usually that they cannot find "the RIGHT boyfriend", for instance. Or that they can only find one night stands, and not relationships. That, for them, is loneliness, because they've never known any different.
Whereas for men, if we are truly "lonely", it's usually because we can't get ANY attention from the opposite sex AT ALL. Women don't really experience that, unless they are total 100% shut-ins who also don't make social contact with anyone on the internet either.
I suppose it's just that they don't know any better. It's like if someone was born rich, guaranteed to have success in life, and then at 16 their parents lost all their wealth in a freak mistake and had to live an average lifestyle. For them, they might feel like they were struggling, but to the homeless living on the street outside it'd still be luxury.
