The longest I ever went without any kind of fapping since age 18 when I had access to internet porn was 24 days back in 2013. I have done several other no-cum stints for 2-3 weeks, but did a little or a lot of edging during them.
Main reason I quit is because of severe strain in my perenium muscles which I now have this annoying sensation constantly thats similar to having to pee. Bladder and prostate checked out fine, so can only conclude its a muscle/nerve imbalance, and likely a secondary effect of overuse from several years of near constant fapping, often including hours of edging a day and/or draining my balls until nothing came out. I am ok since its not painful or debilitating, and am ultimately grateful since it took this to finally quit fapping. I do hope it will do away eventually as body heals itself, but regardless, I resolved to just never fap again and never have sex.
This time it has been much easier since because of my yoga and meditation practice I am far more grounded. It also helps that I usually go on the computer while standing up, and I have also worked to eliminate even fantasizing about women or anything sexual, for fantasy is often how my past relapses have started (think about women, think about sex, get boner, get horny, look at porn, just a little edging... 3 hours later 30 porn tabs oven and fresh cum stains on the wall).
I wake up with a boner some times, but I don't experience any horniness and sexual frustration. Can look at beautiful women in real life or in pictures and keep calm and cool. Though I have still continued to look at adult content online (mostly static images) while I'm fullyclothed and not even think about fapping, this is something I and eliminate to further solidify my commitment to celibacy and non-masturbation.
Fapping is not the issue. It's what you fap to that causes problems.

That may be true for other people, as I have heard discuses in "the great porn experiment" and through 4chan posts relating experience such as being desensitized and moving on to extreme forms of porn to satisfy arousal.
However, I myself have never had that problem. Never developed any fetishes and always just liked vanilla naked women, girl on girl or penis in vagina content. I sometimes wanked to fat chicks, but I was attracted to them in real life since age 13, and found only 0.01% of "BBW" content appealing.
My problem is addiction to the masturbation and orgasm itself, which far predated my exposure to pornography. The FACT that I have never in my life been able to handle it with moderation- either fap like crazy or not at all, is why I must stamp it out completely, including any possibility of ever having sex.
If I am for myself I can't stop for more than a few days. I just feel really nervous, there's a weird feeling in my stomach and it's way harder to fall asleep than usual.

OP if you slip on your diet you need to make up for it.
Weight loss is AREA UNDER CURVE of calorie consumption with respect to time.
If you have a big spike somewhere you have to have a big dip somewhere else to even it out.
Basically do a fast for the next 24 hours because you ate all the calories you were otherwise going to eat tomorrow already.
Then no harm done and the diet progresses exactly the same as it would have.

What kind of diet OP? I love cheeseburgers, pizza and all that shit, but I also like the taste of grilled chicken breast, salads with light dressing (vinaigret, soy dressing), and most grilled veggies. I also stopped soda completely and don't regret it at all. Water is best.
