I'm trying to work up the guts to attempt suicide sometime this week. What are some methods that, if I fail, won't leave me with bodily or brain damage? Hanging and helium are out because of the risk of hypoxic/oxygen starvation brain damage in case I fail for whatever reason. My antidepressants will also cause brain damage if I overdose on them, and Tylenol will destroy my liver. I don't know if I want to die but I do know that attempting suicide is the only way I can express myself at this point, but I'm not opposed to actually dying if that's the way things pan out.

Serious blood loss won't leave you any brain damage but there are some big downsides.
Cutting your forearms is very unlikely to result in death. It is also incredibly painful and agonizing.
It's not really a good method.
