Imagine for a moment that you're a homeless person.
You've lost everything: you have no friends, no family, no job, no bed to sleep in, and no possessions other than the clothes you're wearing.
Most people pretend they can't see you, and those who do accidentally acknowledge you look at you with disgust.
You have to go to a shelter just to get one single meal each day, because your only other option is eating garbage.
Then one day someone walks into the shelter that you have never seen before.
This person looks like a completely normal member of society.
They're wearing a uniform so they obviously have a job, they look healthy and clean as if they've recently bathed, and they walk into the shelter holding their iPhone and texting someone.
They walk up to the counter and ask for a tray of food, but before they're given one you ask them why they're in a shelter when they obviously aren't really homeless.
The person stops everything they were doing and just stares at you, becoming visibly upset.
They begin talking about how they got kicked out of their apartment and have to crash at their friend's place for a while, and that this means they're homeless just like you.
They say that this means they're entitled to the free food the shelter hands out, even though they could afford to buy lunch.
When you try to tell them that it's not the same thing they become angry, they start yelling at you and every other homeless person in the room.
They attempt to steal food from you and the other homeless people.
They start screaming in your face about how you should be more respectful of them because they're suffering just like you are, meanwhile grabbing the food off of your tray.
Eventually the person becomes bored and decides to leave after about an hour or so of yelling at homeless people.
They've either stolen or ruined so much food that the homeless people who were there now wont be able to eat a full meal that day.
