Same here. I mean, I've accepted the fact I'll always be alone, but it still feels like I'm missing out of something pretty much integral to life.
I'm already really introverted so one or two friends, vidya and weed is all I really need, but every now and then it would be nice to share moments and memories with someone else.
I'm taking a cross country motorcycle tour this summer, and most people just think it's weird as fuck I'm going alone. It would be nice to share it with someone but I don't see why it's necessary.

I have a bachelor degree in criminology from a western school. Here in Taipei you do not need to have a degree to teach English. Just knowing English can get you a relatively good job with 20-35$/hr pay and some private teachings even being 60$/hr for the more revered teachers.
I teach under the table so I am here not even on a work visa. If you get a work visa you have to bind yourself to Taiwan's policy of being offered a job before visiting the country, which can get you lower pay and you will have to work longer hours.
I teach privately and make 25$/hr adjusted for US dollars. The pay is great because the cost of living here in Taipei is relatively low compared to most countries.
I teach by contract. I have a contact here who helps find work for me.
My housing is great. The cost of living here is cheap and what you get is pretty awesome. My rent is just over 1500/month but my area where I live is fucking awesome. You wouldn't believe this city. It's amazing.

While youre there you're mostly going to fill your core classes but you want to study what will lead you into your major at uni. Since everything is so easy, you get time to study up on what you need to know for the field youre going into as well.
