How is working at McDonald's?
I got an interview there tomorrow but I already have a wage slave job at a retail store. I don't like the retail grind that much but the coworkers are sometimes fun. The main reason for switching is because of pay. I get paid min wage currently but the McDonald's I'm interviewing at tomorrow starts off at $8.00. So it's only a 0.25c difference but that's still 25 cents on every hour I don't make. I have worked 46.5 hours (6.5 hours overtime) at my retail job and didn't even make over $300 after taxes which kills me.
I also don't want to quit my job but I don't know how to balance them out because I'm still in school too.
Look up your city's demographics. DO NOT work in fast food if your city is over 25% black.
Are you in the US? Apparently they are going to be making 15 an hour pretty soon but coming from someone that used to work there, I think the experience depends on who you work with

I've just got back from my first consultation appointment with a qualified sandwich artist down at the subway office.
We talked for a while about standard sandwich archetypes and started to design the basic structure of my sandwich, then we talked for a while about which flavour palettes I would be interested in exploring.
As we left it the professional sandwich artist is going through a few different combinations of ingredient she thinks would match my taste to show me at our follow up appointment so we can get the sandwich architect involved and hash out the final design for my sandwich.
