I don't need money by itself, but there are some things I couldn't do without and I need money to obtain them. For instance, I am a poly-drug addict and I need to be high 24/7 or else I'll start to get really anxious. I would like enough money to pay my rent, to buy enough groceries, and to keep a decent habit going, with a wide range of drugs. I try to cycle through different classes of drugs so I don't develop a huge tolerance, so I'm not worried about my problem getting to dangerous levels that I can't afford.
How much would I be willing to work? I'm not sure. I've held part-time jobs and they're not so bad. I'd like to have a job where I could browse the internet all day, because I like to study a lot of disparate things, from rocket science to pharmacology to group theory.
I guess my ideal job would be as a scientist or professor, so I could study these things as my living. I know you probably have preconceptions about me because I'm an addict, but I have quite a history with scientific research and I've gone abroad a couple times to study materials science at European universities. While I was there, I invented a new nanowire material. I fell in love with that material, I kept finding cool new properties of it. I was really happy in Europe. It's my dream to move there one day and be a scholar, taking stimulants every day just like Paul Erdos.
I probably didn't answer your question well, but I'm tweaking right now and my answers aren't gonna be brief or relevant.
