How is it possible to love a girl who has been used by another man?

People act differently if they have a duty imposed on them, especially if it has sentiment attached to it. Those stories of guys who really step up and become the role of a father when they're kid is born, they're fulfilling a very intimate duty, one with very close feelings of attachment.
Compare that to the duty imposed on a low-wage worker. They fulfill their duty, maybe help a customer. But there's no real feeling of closeness, no intimacy or sentimentality to their duty.
I think that given that level of attachment to a person, most people here would try their hardest to fulfill their duty well. But it's something that's truly on an individual basis. You won't really know until that context makes you do it.
