In this realm, whenever a mention of similarity is made, it is only superficial. There is never any investigation into the nature of things. Perhaps, to those of us who still think, delving into the nature of things is just too terrifying.
This existence is nonsensical. When I look at the city below my windows, I can only see animals in the streets. If asked, they would all awkwardly claim that we share the same species, that we are similar. Crap. They dont think! They dont ponder things, they dont experience emotions in their full intensity! Perhaps they have a shadow of thought or emotion in their psyches, but they chose instead to live the life of animals. Feed, mate, swarm like insects, breed for the sake of it, just because pumping out new people feels good.
Why they have constructed this hive and this pointless civilisation is beyond me. It serves no goal. Everything good that the thinkers make is eventually taken over and transformed by the braindead. It rings true for everything: the internet, music, love, even.
I fear lest one day I too will fall to this scourge of the soul... and awake a drone to this terrible swarm.
