I don't understand the wage gap:
If a woman makes 78c on the males dollar, how is this calculated, and is there a possibility that because there are simply more males in a given field that the chances of the range of salaries could be larger?
Or, is the data also examining female dominated fields and the average for males is still higher?
I don't understand 3rd wave feminism:
Why do people say feminism helps males when feminism is literally the advocacy and belief in the advancement of womens' rights and equality to males? To specify, I don't mean that society will benefit if women are equal to men (which I already believe), I mean- If I'm a male who is a minority, does my male privilege disappear because simply because everything I would have gained by being male is lost by not being the right color?
Studies have shown that people (males in particular) who aren't tall, in shape, or attractive in general don't get treated as well as people (or males) who are, how does feminism change this when it doesn't seem to be based on anything that results from the limitation of female rights?
I don't understand privilege:
Is there an absolute presence of privilege or can it actually be based a person's actual effect on his bearings?
Other than the example with the male minority, does local privilege exist? Does a male's gender mean he's more likely to succeed in a relative system where females answer to more females, such as a female owned female led company, just because on a global scale men do better? Or is privilege just a status that people assign to others based on their apparent and relative advantage, to specify, is a person privileged simply because they are male and powerful people are also male?
