Man, I thought being a drug addict was supposed to be exciting, carefree, and cool. It's just kind of a huge bummer now. It's no different from working a brutal job that keeps you on call at all times of the day. I have to do all this fucking walking everywhere, I have to do boring shit to make money, and I don't have any time for anything fun.
How do I get that initial charm back? I just want to be having a good time again. I'm not getting high to feel good anymore, I'm getting high so I don't feel bad. I dunno, maybe I need to try some new kinds of drugs, something new and exciting.

A family member recently let me know that a call center is hiring like mad right now and they have pretty much zero standards. However, you have to get sales for commission, on top of the 12.00/hr wage rate.
I'm absolutely not aggressive, HATE talking on the phone at all, despise telemarketing and telemarketers, and have researched the company to find that it's basically garbage and that everyone there is a fucking asshole.
Should I even bother? Currently have a mediocre substitute teaching job where I don't work most days, but I think I might rather just die than work at a call center. I was kind of trying to find a job that wasn't bottom-tier garbage, but things are looking grim lately.
Would like to hear from anons that worked at call centers or similar; tell us about other garbage jobs you've had too.
They will most likely compel you to lie to the customers, and then punish you for lying to them.

I work at a fairly large workplace with a 3:7 guy to girl ratio. Sometimes we get a chance to talk, and during the course of the conversation it is revealed that a girl doesn't know how to ride a bicycle. That's an oddity, for a first world country, what kind of parents never taught their kids how to ride a bike? So light banter ensues and we make some jokes and talk shit for a while, whatever, nothing of it. Suddenly, this other bitch pipes up and injects herself to the conversation and says that she's never ridden a bike either. I was gobsmacked, I must have ran into the only two people in the entire city who don't know how to ride a bike at the same time. Whatever. I expressed how genuinely shocked I was about it and we moved on.
Fast forward one day, banter picks up again about the bike riding, all good, girl 1 was fine with the shits and giggles, girl 2 however... This stupid cunt calls me out and says that I'm DISCRIMINATING against her because I was shocked that they didn't know how to ride a bicycle. She started listing off reasons why she had been discriminated against in her life (waaaa i'm fat, i'm italian, other miscellaneous bullshit). I tuned out pretty quickly and then something in my brain just flipped. I cut her off and said "I bet you've been discriminated against for being a woman right?" Everyone around me drops the "oooooh" like >you did not just say that right?.
That shut her the fuck up pretty quickly but she logged out of her workstation and fucked off home or something because I didn't see her at all for the rest of the day.
Now I'm worried about repercussions because she'll come back with some sob story or whatever.
