My Grandma is on her last days here anons, I feel sad after a long time, she was on my best days of my life when I was a kid.
She is leaving here and I can't stop thinking on how much of a loser I am, I never had a gf, never had sex, never had a decent job neither a good life. So we all know the fact of "All people are descended from 80% of women but only 40% of men".
I got to thinking about this. In older times, people died a whole lot more younger. Especially men. Sent off to war. A rusty nail. Sickness. All this while trying to provide for a family.
Of course women could die from child birth. But they weren't gonna be sent off to the crusades.
But things have changed.
Healthcare is the most advanced it's ever been. Men live longer.
Wars have changed. Most are fought from a computer with drones or an airplane or ship.
And even traditional military combat hasn't left a ton of dead men since the 40's. Vitenam/Afghanistan didn't lose anywhere near the number of men in the old wars.
What does all this mean?
Men are expendable. Women are needed. Women can only have so many kids. Men can have 1000's...which makes us less important.
But that leads to today. We're not needed...yet we are not dying at as high as rate as previously.
These days men have more time....to find a woman and settle down.
No threat of the crusades...no need to get on a wooden ship and sink in the ocean...no need to storm Normandy.
But women haven't changed. 1000's of years of adaptation have taught them to pick the survivors...because they can only have so many babies to pass on. so they must choose the cream of the crop than to "slum" just to have a baby.
Why would they? When they can share the same top men.
It's centuries of this. It's not a recent phenomenon.
I kinda think this explains the extreme high rates of suicide for men of our age. It explains the spree shooters.

This is something that's started to annoy me a lot recently, I never really get angry so I've never argued with anyone.
