Honestly thought I might have to hospitalize myself the other day. I couldn't even drink very much because it just made me hurt more. My body and liver were on fire. But because I drank less I didn't wake up too hungover the next day and I was fine :D I'm taking it pretty easy tonight too

I've mostly cut out hard liquor from my drinking. Had a good year where I was getting blackout trashed 3-4 nights a week. These days it's mostly beer.
I have no friends, let alone the chance of getting a girl friend, can't do drugs because I live with my parents because I'm on constant suicide watch, don't have a drivers license because the mentioned suicide watch, am socially awkward, and have crippling depression. Give me 1 reason to live /r9k/

Not needing people nor their aproval. It's never been easier to be socially awkward, depression is more treatable than ever (and also is very common, it's not just you) and suicide is a permanent solution to temporary problems. Try following any interest you have and taking life step by step, you won't solve all your problems in a single day. Good luck man.

I teach STEM at a tiny private university in the USA. I am a "lecturer" which in the US means I have a Master's instead of a PhD.

Today I realised that I have to be kind and compationate to myself. It's not healthy having these thoughts go round and round in my head.
That sucks like hell. Try your hardest to ignore what he says, and if you can don't speak to him at all. I know it can be tough to remove yourself from an abusive situation, but if you do, your life will be so much better. Even if you are alone you are better off than if you are with someone who hurts you like that. BTW, don't hurt yourself because of something someone else said. That is the opinion of one person. It is NOT a fact, and most people don't think that. And you will find love, everyone does. It might not be now, but someday I know you will find the person who makes your life great and treat you the way you are supposed to be treated.
