I see every vice as something that can be good for you in moderation. The problem is that people don't do things moderately.
Nicotine can be a helpful inexpensive tool used to calm your nerves when you are feeling anxious or aggravated, but instead of people smoking a couple of times a week they tend to smoke a couple of times or more per day.
