I see every vice as something that can be good for you in moderation. The problem is that people don't do things moderately.
Nicotine can be a helpful inexpensive tool used to calm your nerves when you are feeling anxious or aggravated, but instead of people smoking a couple of times a week they tend to smoke a couple of times or more per day.

Even after your brain gets habituated to weed, you still get a buzz out of it. Except for the lightheadedness, there's no buzz with cigarettes. The amount of dopamine a cigarette releases is negligible.

Well, $3.55 for a pack. One pack per day. There around 365 days in year. That comes out to right under $1300 annually.
Before I switched to vaping(which is more expensive than cigarettes) I was going on 1.5 packs a day and it was really taking a toll on my body. I was wheezing, having headaches and heartburn.
With vaping, I get none of the negative effects and it tastes good as fuck. I'm not talking about those gay little pens, though, I'm talking about mods and big tanks.
One negative aspect of vaping is the vaping culture.
