My question is...how many people engage in this behavior nowadays and don't think twice about it? Having folders full of pictures of people who have no idea who you are? People who would probably be pretty disturbed if they caught wind of the fact that you use their pictures to entertain yourself or get some sort of gratification from possessing their image? This behavior is mainly limited to males (since they're visually oriented), but teenage girls have been known to do it, too. Some of them tape posters of celebrities to their walls, and tumblr exercises this urge in a way.
Do you do this? What do you think it indicates about you and your culture? Would you feel a sense of loss if your collections were deleted?
