I saw lots of deer in south Japan around mountains. Sometimes if you stop car they don't run off and just stare at you, waiting for your move. One ran when I got to close. So didn't get to stroke it's head or anything.

It doesn't seem comfy, but Ace of Seafood is one of my comfiest experiences as far as vidya goes.
It's a deeply flawed, poorly translated game where you pick a fish and then command your fish squad to reefs, where you shoot lasers at sea creatures to add them to your team.
