I never understood the "moving out at 18" meme. 90 % doesn't do that shit. Why would you move out and give some ass rent money instead of living with parents and saving it? Of course if you have long term girlfriend which you most likely going to marry, then yes, moving out is a good plan at about age of 20 or when done with higher education.
I'm 18 and I get along better with my my mom when I'm not living with her.
I moved back in for the summer and she's started trying to control my actions, because I'm financially dependent on her support and she can. This wouldn't happen if I was away. Plus we get into arguments all the time. I can't wait until I make enough money to have my own car and pay all of my own rent so I don't have to deal with these things being held above my head as things that can be taken away.

I haven't been to a movie theater in almost 16 years and I don't watch any popular sitcom or drama shows on TV because I don't want to know what the current trendy insult or catch phrase is so when I see people in public parroting it I can just be blissfully unaware of what it is.
I enjoy not knowing what the current hit single is or what second grade level chorus it has that adults repeat to themselves like nursery rhymes.
I avoid the majority of them yes.
But I really did enjoy marvel civil war 2 and deadpool. Also birdman and bridge of spies is great.
The popularity of something had never bothered me ever. Not once have I gave a shit because all criticism is stemmed from the insecure.
I remember when undertale was just a demo and only /v/ knew about it. It was praised daily and I really liked it. Full game comes out and the tumblr crowd joins in, and for some reason everyone just ignores it out of fear of association.
I like Steven universe and that was always attracting tumblr. And I still enjoy it

Same here op, there's a few things I like to watch but I just find them online, I haven't just sat and watched TV on a long time. I don't really enjoy movies so I don't watch them. I dedicate my time to craft projects and raising my birds mostly, the outside world isn't interesting enough

How are you supposed to order food at a restaurant or diner? Do you just go up to the checkout and order there or do you sit down and wait for a waiter/waitress to come and ask? Do you pay up front or call for a bill? How does his vary between types of resaurants or diners?

Usually you sit down, waitress comes and takes your order. Waitress brings the bill when you're finished, and you pay for it up front.
