>releasing a beta version that drives a 2 ton vehicle
has Tesla lost its mind?
PALO ALTO, Calif. – Many owners of Tesla’s rakish Model S sedan will wake up Thursday morning with a wildly new car in their garage.
The star of Tesla’s Version 7 software upgrade, which gets pushed out to U.S. owners overnight, is Autopilot, the company’s suite of semi-autonomous tech that teams software tweaks with cameras, radar, ultrasonic sensors. The result is a Model S that is capable of taking over some of the driving duties from its...

>Implying any company would release car-driving software as "General Availability"
Remember how Gmail was in beta for like five fucking years? Autopilot software will likely carry the "Beta" tag for a decade before someone has the balls to say, "Yup, this is good enough for 99.99% of all people, slap the GA tag on it"

Can you gank noobs on it while it drives itself?
Given all the hubbub about driverless cars, is it even legal?
I fell for the meme and am getting a Thinkpad X220 with a 1TB Samsung Pro SSD and 16gb RAM. It has Windows 7 on it. Give me reasons as to why I would want to use Linux on it? I don't program, torrent, do graphics work, listen to music (only very rarely), or work with videos. Suggested activities to do with the machine would be worthwhile, too.
>inb4 install Gentoo
I got a Thinkpad X200 with a 128GB Sandisk SSD and 2gb RAM, and I use debian.
I use it exclusively for programming and shitposting on /g/.
You don't need even a fraction of those specs to do what you're asking.
>>50818332
Yes, I know. But what would be some worthwhile things to do with it is what I'm asking.
>>50818360
You're asking me what to do with a linux computer?
How the hell should I know?
What makes you think I know your hobbies and interests?
What book do you guys recommend for learning Java given the following:
>I know C/C++/C#
>I have a learning disability
>Hate Headfirst and all things similar
>Have 0 budget
>Want something I can get through fairly quickly that doesn't give examples unless its vital
>Ill be using Eclipse on Lubuntu
>Basically something that reads like a short textbook...

Any other network heads out there? Why do people still think STP is the devil? The latest revision has been a total bro! Also, do you think colleges should be legally inclined to give their IPv4 addresses back to ARIN?
Cool thread man, I'm interested in the subject but don't know a ton about it besides what I need to do to set up for a LAN party or basic TCP/IP. Dunno if /g/ - Consumer General will be very interested though. What do you do for a job?
i've never had a problem with STP. who thinks it's the devil and why?
EIGRP on the other hand...

How to learn without having to do a retarded certificate course?
I've been meaning to get into networking but it seems to be just too much to take in.
Why is Apple the only phone company to design their own SoCs? Why are they the only company with a custom 64-bit ARM design?
>>50817984
I think ARM holdings might have had something to do with it..
>what is the Exynos 7420
>>50817984
they didn't design it... their series of Socs are modified cortex models mostly. Engineered, not designed.
ill leave this here
Under $4 to burn, silkscreen and mail a disc doesn't sound like the most unreasonable thing I ever heard.
In particular I bet that was brisk business back when ISOs were 700mb and modems were 56k
Burned. Cheap. Mailed to your home. Nicely printed Ubuntu logo
Not bad. Might buy one
What are your opinions on OnePlus as a company?
I myself own a Oneplus Two, and I love this phone even after owning the S6 edge, Nexus 6, iPhone 6 Plus and other great phones over the year. However, this company's marketing strategy is absolute shit, and I'm afraid they'll shut down operations if they continue this path.
I also don't understand why there's an incredible amount of hate for this company with their newest phone, people are calling it a "downgrade" from the OP1. I can't believe people would say that given that...

This is a shot I took with the OP2, just edited using VSCO. I mean, it's up there, right?

i really like my oneplus 2. it was a definite upgrade from my Nexus 5, but i do sort of miss stock android with support from Google. when 6.0 roms come out i will probably flash.
also have an invite if anyone is interested
>>50817692
That's seriously impressive.
To address the original question though, I didn't even know there was a Oneplus Two. I had no idea at all. Does it run Android?
I'm just so apathetic when it comes to the current state of phones. I have a Galaxy S4, it's starting to get a little long in the tooth, a little low in the battery. I don't feel like doing the research needed to find a decent Android phone these days, don't care for Windows phones. I'll probably just get...

Hello /g/, I am interested in purchasing a laptop that is well worth the money. I would be using it for school work and video editing and recording for my YouTube channel. If you could recommend a laptop that isn't overpriced that would be great. Also it should have at least 2 usb ports.
Link the youtube channel and I'll help you.

There is precedent here. After all, Chris stole commits from gorhill, was shadowbanned from plebbit for manipulating votes and took credit for Deathamn's work among other behaviors.
So I guess in reality we learned what we already knew. ABP is hell bent on market share, and Chris is an untrustworthy shameless self promoter.
In the back ground remains based gorhill. The man. The legend.

What is best non-smart tv out there?
Budget < $500
I don't need it to be smart because I will be using either AppleTV or Roku all the time anway.
There really is no best TV, just look for resolution and size, increase in price usually is just because of the brand name. I got a 32 inch 1080p insignia tv for $130
>>50815955
Wow, that's nice due. Here I'm looking for $500 dollars 40" TV. Damn!
>>50815955
I got a 50 inch element TV for 200 dollars. The colors and black levels were really, really shitty. OP, make sure it has a decent display before you buy it.
/g/ I'm looking for an easy way to change default indent distances in Microsoft Word.
All options and results on Google I can find only change a single paragraph, but they are never kept across the entire document. This is really annoying.
What I want is pic related. Does anyone have an idea where to do this?

Have you tried LaTeX?
If you're this picky, it mught be wortg looking into it

I'm looking for a team of people skilled in HTML/ web design from 4chan. Would anybody be interested in a paid ongoing project? 1800 per person monthly for remote work is what I'm thinking which sounds like a pretty sweet deal. Email [email protected] if you're down.

Why from 4chan though?
