How to programm it:
I try to programm a tool which is able to use a programm and to search for keywords inside of the programm.
details:
I work in a company with 5 server and every server has a logg which shows you what happend during the previouse day
f.e. "critical error storage is full" or "access denied from IP:xxxxxxxxx"
I am quite new so I have to check them on a daily base, which takes me a lot of time. I rather spend my time on other important tasks. Ofc I will check them, since our sever are important but I just want to spend less time on it and get a little understanding how this might work.
So my idea is to write a tool that is able to log in via remoute in a server open the programm, that loggs everything and searchs for keywords.
afterwards it should tell me if there is an error and on which server.
What language do I use for that?
What would you recommand?
Is PowerShell an option since my boss asked me if I am willing to learn it.

Blackjack, Chess, Tetris, or something similar. You can't really make graphically demanding stuff with Python, nor should you even try if you are a beginner.
My first game was a simple tower defence with Java, it sucked but I felt like a champion once it was finished.
Sokoban-style games are also nice for beginner.

i've got one and use it everyday for all web based stuff which is a large amount of what i use a computer for. it's portable and light. it does what it intends to do and i've got another pc for anything else anyway.

I'm 19 years old and I'm starting to think about going into computer science.
Initially, I was going for mechanical engineering but after learning about how programming works I'm thinking of switching.
However, whatever field I go into I want to make it to the top of that field. Maybe I'm just a dreamer but I don't want to be some average grunt level employee.
Is 19 too old to make it to the top? I keep hearing about people who learn coding when they're like 12 years old. Can I compete with those guys?
Stick with mechanical engineering and take some programming electives.

Is there anything remotely similar to the MX518 on the market atm?
I am looking for a decent gaming mouse with good refresh rate but everything I've found so far is either stupidly expensive and/or just looks ricer and gross. MX518 was not exactly pretty either but I'd take it over a rave party looking mouse any day. I regret not getting it when I could. Doesn't seem like there was ever a better deal than that for $20-30 but I'm not about to buy a used or refurbished mouse.
The closest thing I've found is maybe the G400, which seems pretty great, but it's too expensive for me.
Zowie FK2 or 1 whichever one is the largest one. I don't remember.
Steelseries is also great.
Any other mice are awful.
