>LaTeX syntax
>LaTeX in general

Sure, the end result looks good (hint: turning kerning and automatic ligatures in Word on gets you 90% of the way there) but using LaTeX is fucking horrible.

Hi /g/ I want to try Linux (still don't know if I should choose ubuntu or debian), and I want to ask you if it's possible to have windows installed at 1st hdd and linux at 2nd hdd and have dual-boot choice at computer start? I know it's possible when I would have 2 systems at 1 disk, but I want to seperate it.

Look into "grub" bootloader. It is pretty versatile and can do what you want.
>>
>>51951982

yes, absolutely. When you're installing something like ubuntu then it will automatically add the windows loader to the grub list.

This is an unpopular """opinion""" on /g/, but from a heat transfer perspective, an AIO is much better for managing heat. Not because it keeps your CPU cooler, but because water can absorb almost 4x the amount of heat that air can. An AIO and an air cooled CPU may reach the same temperature, but the AIO will take much longer to reach that temperature.

If you don't believe me google heat capacity.

Have you given up /g/?

When you try to convince others that there's a better fucking option available but they rationalize any excuse to buy it?

E.g. family member wants a macbook with one fucking port.

>But anon, she claims, "it's sexy".

I give up.

I don't see why Apple even released the Macbook. It's worse than other products in their line-up at the same fucking price.

Don't they buy b-grade things to sell it so cheap?

I don't have a huge problem with that if they do. But still, it explains the pricing.

Any of you guys know how much having a pc constantly for a month would cost for electricity?
18 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
about 3.50
>>
>>51950908
just calculate it

a = price of electricity (cents per kilowatthour)
b = PC power consumption (watts)
c = hours on per day (hours)

let's say a = 13, b = 500 and c = 8

a * b * c / 1000
13 * 500 * 8 / 1000
52 cents per day

Hello, Im building a new PC so which OS is better for gaming perfomance (on you're experience) I don't know if this old topic but I want you're help C:

i'm honestly curious why /v/ isn't the preferred place to ask this question. if your sole criterion is gaming performance, shouldn't some subset of them --- the subset that plays videogames on the PC --- know about this?

you're just going to get a bunch of faggots telling you to install gentoo and to make a hackintosh or whatever other bike-shedding shit that can find a way not to be helpful.
>>
OP here so reformulate in general perfomance which is better?

mechanical keyboards aren't memes, but things Razer makes *are* memes, so yes, it's a meme
>>
if it has razer branding or LED's, it falls under the category of a meme.
>>
>>51950537
using a razer black widow rn. yes it's a meme but it's a sexy meme
