Does the media really not now how modern encryption systems work? Do they really think that "tech companies" just have a database that holds all of the encryption keys that we use when we are on a secure connection? Are our leaders so inept that they can't even consult experts to explain how asymmetric cryptography works?

My idea is an upgrade to Google maps or any other GPS service. If I can't pitch it I would need to hire people to develop it.
I'm not very tech savvy, would my employees need to build the frame work for a GPS from scratch or is the already existing infrastructure to use legally ?

My computer is old, It wasn't top of the line when I got it, and its finally just shitting out on me.

Can no longer handle having things like DOTA and skype running at the same time, gets really hot, things like that.
I've been through and dusted everything with a brush and airblower, which helped the temperature a bit, but I've had it crash due to heat before (which makes me feel like I'm being mean to it).
I'd like to think if I just bought more memory and put in a new fan it would be good as new, but as someone who is only tech savvy as long its just grandma asking how to turn on the TV, I fear I'll end up wasting money on a lost cause.
I don't need to run top of the line games at max specs, I just want to run my pleb tier games while skyping my friends and browsing Cantonese woodworking forums.

I hate .NET. I really hate it. And I'm going to tell you, go for that job. The php job will make you into a code monkey at best, and glorified tester at worst. The Qt job sounds awesome, but you'll probably be stuck writing crud DB interfaces day on and day out, and never do anything but basic UI work. C# job won't be much better, but there's a chance it will be.

Yeah pretty much this.
If you're gonna get into native app development then learn C++, C# and the .NET framework. If you're gonna get into web development, then learn full-stack Javascript. Either way, start looking for jobs immediately and work while you're in school. You're gonna want to break away from the pack and get some experience ASAP if you want a decent job.
