Hi /g/, with all the automatic "upgrades" to windows 10 going on, I'm really desperate to find a way to prevent this from happening to me. Anyone have a nice step by step guide?

1. Disable Windows updates
2. Kill yourself.
>>
>>53527556
B-but that would disable ALL updates. I just want the ones that will install Windows 10.
>>
>>53527771
2. Kill yourself.

Stop wasting time.

I just installed gapps again, and I now feel dirty. I tried installing the love live game and had to hide my root, and it wanted me to log in to my botnet account. I haven't even seen if it's worth the trouble yet. How do normies even cope with all the advertising and shit.

I'll just use my vita for shitty maki games, even if the maki game trilogy costs $150 and is shit.

Holy shit, anon. Just make a new Gmail account with as little identifying info as possible. It's not like they can't shadow track you, or hack into your device remotely.
>>
>>53527252
Even that feels awful. If they have a game or app they want to sell they should just ask money instead of giving you advertisements.
>>
I guess it's nice that the botnet doesn't recommend Tinder to a gentleman and connoisseur of 2d women such as myself. :^)

;_;

PS how botnet is grindr

I'm on a maximum budget if £160 to buy myself a computer suitable for word processing and watching movies so I don't die of boredom.
£20 of that probably will go to Microsoft word.

What the hell should I be looking for? I reckon a small desktop is cheaper as I've already got a monitor.

Something compact like a micro atx desktop?

I'm a student btw

>Now
>Your total is $x.xx
>insert card into dip
>PLEASE WAIT - DO NOT REMOVE CARD
>10-15 seconds later: PLEASE ENTER PIN
>enter PIN
>PLEASE WAIT - DO NOT REMOVE CARD
>5 seconds later: Remove card, terminal starts beeping at you for not knowing the EXACT moment it's going to be done.

WTF? Now if there are three people ahead of you it adds another 30 seconds per purchase. We were better off with magnetic strips
318 posts and 22 images submitted.
>>
I understand your frustration, America-kun. But

1) magnetic strips are very insecure

2) the process could go faster if you had a better network

3) for small orders, we can pay without typing the code with RFID. Don't you have this yet?
>>
Why cant we just have windows 10 on our thumb prints so we could pay with our dna?

Why the hell do these keep getting deleted. Anyway, I bought some shark microsd cards and some earbuds.

Right now I'm looking for a gamepad, kinda want one with a d-pad similar to the psvita. I'm also debating getting a raspberry pi or some shit to play emulators on the couch downstairs.

Welcome to /flt/, we are always open to users of all levels, including absolute beginners.

There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:

0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux

Before asking, please search for answers to your questions in resources.

Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.

Understand that much of your software from Windows will be unavailable, although maybe WINE can make up for it.
