If you are serious about switching to Linux, use it exclusively for 2 weeks.
Avoid booting to windows for that period of time, or you are likely to start retreating back to it instead of getting used to linux as your new home and working on making it feel comfortable

You can safely experience installation process and the basic usage through a virtual machine

outdated =/= deprecated

Linux is outdated because it relies too much on the oudated concept of CLI, instead of fully embracing the GUI, like Apple and Microsoft have

First for Java is the number one programming language
>>
Can one of you guys explain me this? (in C)

"signed char" goes from -128 to 127 and we use the positive values for the ASCII code. There's a program where I need a special sign from the ANSI code but the value is higher than 127 (lets assume it's µ with 181), so why does the program works with "char", but not with "unsigned char" (which goes from 0 to 255). I don't get it.

Never thought I'd do it, but it's a fucking great chair.

Unbelievably good hardware, absolutely fucking abysmal software. With each new update trying to fix old issues but just making new ones.

I bought one and returned it 3 weeks later. Had two other friends who got one as well. One finally gave up 8 weeks in, and the other just asked me yesterday if I could help him sell his.
The device is an absolute nightmare. DO

IT

No.

The computer hardware itself is very tied together with the windows operating system. You fuck up all sorts of shit if you try to install linux on it. Keyboard will stop working/endless looping reboots/ touchscreen irresponsive

Expense so it doesn't explode

>>
>>53523413

It's not like it's hard to solve the energy crisis.

1. Go to fucking space
2. Get a big fucking turbine
3. SPIN The fucker like... ONCE
4. Collect free energy forever because of the lack of really.... any resistance.

There, fucking nobel prize son.

because of variable velocidensity

you see, when you expand outward on a rotating drum, the inertial frame increases radially, leading some components to be out-of-sync with other components in space/time, and thus they crack in half ; destroying the entire system

I'm trying to install Linux Mint 17.2 XFCE on my HP Pavilion ze4800, and it never works past the slideshow. The slideshow ends up closing early and I don't get an install. I will also commonly receive error messages when booting the laptop. Pic related: one of the error messages I got when trying to run the installer after disabling the slideshow using "sudo apt-get remove ubiquity-slideshow-mint" I'm out of ideas to fix this. What do I do, /g/?
