I've got a 5.1 system hooked onto my computer (speakers to sub, sub to motherboard). I'd like to plug in headphone and mic to the motherboard as well, not the front jacks.
Is there good 3rd party software on windows that takes into account the realtek HD audio drivers and the included windows audio settings to easily switch between headphone and 5.1 speakers without plugging out the cables?
I'm having a weird issue where the rear speakers half work when I plug in my headphones and have to change a bunch of settings to get the rear speakers working fully again.

I switched to Windows 10 yesterday. Why the fuck are programs called apps now? Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?
They could at least call them "applications" which is an actual word. Are teenagers part of Win10 design team? If I wasn't such a vidya babby I'd switch to a Linux distro immediately.
Is there anything else I should be aware of? Everything seems good so far except for update which is mandatory.

What's the best place to buy a reliable Serial Ultrabay Slim hard drive caddy for a T400?
I don't give a shit if it's a ching chong special, I just need something that isn't a piece of shit. I've read that a lot of the ones from Hong Kong don't even have latches so the only thing keeping the caddy in the ultrabay is the resistance from the SATA/power connectors on the drive.

5 years is very good for crap laptops, shitty 1 GB RAM Intel Pentium Windows Vista Starter laptop only lasted four years before it became so slow it literally exploded.
