My name is not important... What is important is what I'm going to upload. I just fucking hate the music industry, and the corporate moguls feasting on its carcass. My listening experience is just awful, shitty transcodes, and I always wanted to share my music. This is the time of piracy and every album is worth ripping. And I will put on the site as many as I can. It's time for me to seed... and it's time for me to snatch. My What.CD adventure begins here.

I currently have an Intel i5 Sandy Bridge 2500k. It runs at ~3.1ghz (although mine is overclocked). Looking at the newer processors, they ALSO run at 3.1-3 ghz. Why would I upgrade? I do not understand, is there some other important spec that I'm missing?

ever since the wiki update saving images has been a pain in the dick.
as most of you know, the latest version of all wikis now have a nice feature for image revisions.
this means you can go back and forth to older and newer images easily
however, it fucks up file-names depending on how yous save the image!
here is an example:
http://any.random.wikia/images/theimageiwanttosave.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20151011234123
now, in any normal circumstance, you save the image, and it saves as "theimageiwanttosave.jpg"
however, with this new revisions feature, dragging and dropping images ALWAYS saves the image as "latest.jpg"
this makes it incredibly agonizing to save multiple images from wiki unless you want to right-click, save-as every single time.
there is a simple fix to this, simply cut off the revision
here is an example:
http://any.random.wikia/images/theimageiwanttosave.jpg
saving this by drag-and-drop will save with the original file name
what i would like to know is. is there an addon i can install that will let me filter out certain parts of the address bar?
(in that way i can set a filter for /revision/latest?cb=XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
or, is there an addon that gets rid of this specifically for wiki images?

I hope you know your 1980s technology (token ring networks, literal 80s CPU sockets) that's about half the marks. Imo this cert is worthless.
>>53521394
really what cert would you recommend
It's only good for 2 or so years now, mine was one of the last permanents.
also when i took it there wasn't a logical thought process to some of the answers
>any year
>opening the case to check a cable before just seeing if the bios has detected the drive.
Network+ is pretty nice, it's mostly 'muh kerberos' and a dash of ip6 so you might need to know a bit of base16 and base2.
The cisco certs are pretty fun because they have simulators.
Microsoft certs are hilarious because I last sat one 5 years ago and whenever they change their system up I get issued a new logo, certification and maybe a new title.
As long as you promise to not be a shitter about this like 90% of the cert holders who devalue it, just download a leak of the exam and practice it into memory, learn the shit by all means but do not assume the logical answer is the correct one.
>Rage at windows updates

And this is why Linux will never be popular. Why spend days troubleshooting when there is something that works so much better? Linux is not an alternative to windows. A lot of people don't have time to Google something an entire day to get the is to do the simplist tasks.

Also, another problem I had was that spotify was incredibly laggy. No hardware acceleration at all.

proven fact that linux is literally for schizos
So my ISP gives me 50/25Mbps Down/Up uncapped for ~ $10/month and they had a promotion that gave me 100/50Mbps for $5/month for the the first 6 months then 10 again for a 2 year contract if sign again with them. I agreed, thinking why not.
Today this guy came around with a Modem to install the internet connection through my Coaxial cable that's for my 140 Digital TV channels that I get with the contract. I use a separate Ethernet Lan cable for my Internet for years now which I think should be fiber optic and I assumed they would just bump up my connection from 50/25 to 100/50 but the guy told me that they were switching to this "new tech" and that it was the way of the future or something, that it was better for diagnosing problems, more stable under weather conditions and just overall better. I've used net over model from coax cable in the past and I vowed to never again since it gave a bunch of issues that are off topic but bottom line is I told him to fuck off. Then I went to their desk office to check if there wasn't a mistake and to make sure they knew that I want fiber optic net and the lady behind the desk explained to me that their lan internet network was old and that I would get a maximum of 80Mbps through it and the only way they could provide 100 was through this modem + coaxial shit that I don't want to touch with a ten foot pole.
The way I see it. They cheaped out on their network tech and figured they would provide that service through their established coaxial TV network which is cheaper for them to maintain. Or is there some limitation where I can't get 100Mbps through Ethernet cable? Is it possible? I thought Fiber Optic and Ethernet - no modem bullshit involved was the best type of connection to get?
What's the tech behind these IPS companies? What's the deal here? Isn't my net fiber optic? They say that it wasn't stable and during heavy raid they constantly have maintenance problems. Is that just them?
I guess they wanted to switch you over from DSL to cable?
Cable can be shit in highly populated areas, because it is a "shared medium", you don't have guaranteed speeds when everyone comes home at 5pm and your internet speed crumbles. On DSL it's a different story. But both (V)DSL and cable can be run over fiber optics in some parts, maybe not directly to your home.
>>53519985
>I guess they wanted to switch you over from DSL to cable?
I'm not sure really but they didn't call it DSL, another provider used to provide that service back in the day. I thought my net was fiber optic lan or something. It's a long Ethernet cable that comes from somewhere outside my home and connects directly to my PC in my lan card and there's light from the plastic head... hmm that might have been something from my old motherboard as I checked now and on my new PC there isn't light in the cable head but separate light next to the port.
>>53520153
Probably something different, I don't know too much about fiber. For DSL you would probably have some extra boxes and a modem, and login details in your router
