Yes, they are in constant violation of the GPL and never release the kernel source code, which ultimately leads to enthusiasts nope'ing their phones because there are no custom ROMs for them.

Hello my wonderful and lovely people! Let us run some tests on our connections!
Optus is fucking garbage mate (at least for home broadband).
Is this on ADSL or cable?
>>53518705
>Is this on ADSL or cable?
Oh no my good friend. My connection is 3g wireless. Any notion of a fixed-line connection is out of the question for me I'm afraid.
>>53518718
wew m8, why can't you get a fixed line connection?
I've never used any RSS readers, but I really should.
I love twitter, but I only use it as a news aggregator, I don't actually post or participate. The only people I follow are new organizations and journalists.
I've dabbled with Feedly on android, but wasn't exactly happy with it.
Really, I just want a way to pipe news and content related to my interests into my face every morning.

1. Convert your twitters to RSSses: https://twitrss.me/
2. Install:
a) Thunderbird if you are oldfag
b) 'tt-rss' if you are hipster

I'm using feedly. It works but it's not the greatest. The site makes my browser chug for no good reason.
Hi everyanon, I'm a 23 Years old, recent masters degree in marketing. Since a few months, while looking for a job, I became interested in CS and started studying python by myself, with no expectations, just because I found it a funny hobby, but quickly had first ideas on games I could be able to create if I'm good enough. Small things, some running games, some "political incorrect" games, a Zelda clone with an original story, a horror game based on the book "Phantoms" that I recently read. And many others, that I'd love to publish for free or with ads.
I'm currently an intern/freelance in a startup company, which atm doesn't require a high effort. Since the employment situation here (southern Europe) isn't very good, I could remain an intern for some years and this could help me dedicate a portion of my daily time to keep learning new stuff, in python or other languages or programs. Also, I thought it could differentiate my curriculum when I try to get a job in a tech company, getting me some money.
I feel like I need some advices from you, like how much time should I dedicate to this passion, what should I expect because of my background, if any other like me discovered his passion only after completing his studies and how was his experience.
In a few weeks I'd like to make some experiments by myself. For the engine I thought of Godot because the scripting language is very similar to Python and I like the idea of free software. I'm awful at any kind of drawing and music creation, but I may find a solution for that, too.
Sorry for the wall of text but thank you for helping
Bro
The employment situation is shit everywhere except the US and even then only in some industries. A ~15% youth unemployment is normal in most countries.
If your internship keeps you on for more than a few months, just stay there until things get better. You'll have years of work experience, I'll have to explain why I have years of neet.
If you like it, then you already passed the biggest hurdle.
But having ideas and actually implementing them are things that are lightyears apart.
For starters try and actually make a simple game from scratch, even if its turn based with ascii "graphics", like chess, tetris, space invaders.
Even in such simple games, you need to get player input, check the winning conditions, display the game, move a bunch of objects around... and thats how you learn. Onece you finish and look at what you have done you will realize some mistakes, better ways to have structured your code, some complex things that could have been solved with a single built-in function etc.
as for art and music, in the prototyping phase you can just use colored squares and circles. Some engines come with a selection of default assets and DLC packs for more. Some games put their stuff into public domain, including the source code. Steam and Humble Bundle regularily have game making tools on sale, in fact right now there is a sale

First of all, Marketing is a high energy career. If you finished your masters (assuming you've been able to do this only 5 years out of high school) then why aren't you applying yourself toward higher level jobs? Are you under the assumption that this startup company is going to make it big?
Also, re-read your post aloud and take a grammar class. If your resume didn't have as many run-on sentences as your post you may have found a better job.
Anyone here use Replicant? What are your thoughts on it, senpai?

Android is a bloated piece of garbage. Every new decision every latest update is trash. It's disgusting. I thank the lord every day since getting an iPhone that i'm not forced to use chunk of shit Android. You're all probably fourteen so it hasn't dawned on you yet, but if you ever grow the hell up, your needs will change. And iPhones will accommodate all of them. My most angry frustrated moments in the past decade stem from using Android garbage. It's convoluted nonsense and it's glaringly apparent when you use it. They should seriously start the fuck over. but they just don't have the time, money, infrastructure or wherewithal to do it. Makes me sick.
10/10. Touchjizz is not Android btw
boy, you must've had a pretty tough life if you are that much retarded... but don't worry, your misery is at end

Loserlife idiotcunt. Dumbfuck nothing person. Can't stand Apple phones cause he can't siss em out. Reverts to the typical garbage rhetoric. Trash boy. So I'm thinking about buying a briefcase and building a pc in it! It'll be a portable powerhouse! Cheaper than a good laptop (and more durable) and itll be able to play games decently.
It'll mainly be for playing games.
What decent components would fit in pic related?

I was thinking of getting into cyber security, is it worth it?
Yes.
Malware means software designed to function in ways that mistreat or harm the user. (This does not include accidental errors.)
This thread explains how Microsoft software is malware and why (neo) /g/ should avoid it.
we know. you're the only retard here.
Microsoft Back Doors
Microsoft has already backdoored its disk encryption. https://theintercept.com/2015/12/28/recently-bought-a-windows-computer-microsoft-probably-has-your-encryption-key/
Microsoft Windows has a universal back door through which any change whatsoever can be imposed on the users. http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=201806263
More information on when this was used. http://slated.org/windows_by_stealth_the_updates_you_dont_want
In Windows 10, the universal back door is no longer hidden; all “upgrades” will be forcibly and immediately imposed. http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/07/windows-10-updates-to-be-automatic-and-mandatory-for-home-users/
Windows 8 also has a back door for remotely deleting apps. http://www.computerworld.com/article/2500036/desktop-apps/microsoft--we-can-remotely-delete-windows-8-apps.html
You might well decide to let a security service that you trust remotely deactivate programs that it considers malicious. But there is no excuse for deleting the programs, and you should have the right to decide who (if anyone) to trust in this way.
Windows 8's back doors are so gaping that the German government has decided it can't be trusted. http://drleonardcoldwell.com/2013/08/23/leaked-german-government-warns-key-entities-not-to-use-windows-8-linked-to-nsa/
Microsoft Sabotage
The wrongs in this section are not precisely malware, since they do not involve making the program that runs in a way that hurts the user. But they are a lot like malware, since they are technical Microsoft actions that harm to the users of specific Microsoft software.
Microsoft has desupported all future Intel CPUs for Windows 7 and 8. Those machines will be stuck with the nastier Windows 10. AMD and Qualcomm CPUs, too. http://www.theverge.com/2016/1/16/10780876/microsoft-windows-support-policy-new-processors-skylake http://gizmodo.com/only-the-latest-version-of-windows-will-run-on-some-fut-1753545825
Of course, Windows 7 and 8 are unethical too, because they are proprietary software. But this example of Microsoft's wielding its power demonstrates the power it holds.
Free software developers also stop maintaining old versions of their programs, but this is not unfair to users because the users of free software have control over it. If it is important enough to you, you and other users can hire someone to support the old version on your future platforms.
Microsoft is repeatedly nagging many users to install Windows 10. http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/sep/11/microsoft-downloading-windows-1
Microsoft informs the NSA of bugs in Windows before fixing them. http://www.computerworlduk.com/blogs/open-enterprise/how-can-any-company-ever-trust-microsoft-again-3569376/
