Has anyone installed Linux on their Skylake XPS yet?

Friend of mine has it, with highres touchscreen and the whole shebang. GNOME handles scaling really well and he seems happy with it overall.

my s7 edge arrive in 10days, this is my 1st android phone.
What is the first 5 things what i need to do with it to make it most efficient? (setup, apps, etc...)
Install Gentoo.
Install a different launcher, a different SMS app, video and music app, etc.

What is the /g/ approved browser?
On the one hand Chromium is quite fast and comfy... But on the otherhand Firecuck is a lot more customizable and flexible.
Which should I use? In the wiki it says that Chromium is not free and spies on you, is that true? Is Firefox any different really?

Can these things really pick up a signal from 35 miles away? What kind of reception can I expect with one of these and how can I get the most out of it?

Reliable link at that distance depends on many things OP. Transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, cable loss, path loss (antenna height above surface, obstacles, etc), modulation, data rate, error correction, frequency, interference.

I figured 35 miles is pushing it if you're looking for a reliable connection. I live in an apartment complex a few miles from the downtown "night life" area of my city. It's full of shops, restaurants, clubs, and things like that, which offer free Wi-Fi to customers. Would it be able to hold a reliable connection if the signal from one of those places is about two or three miles from my apartment?

So my retina macbook's screen randomly shit the bed and Apple refuses to replace it under warranty because they consider it accidental damage.
The only accident was steve jobs never having been aborted. You can breath on this screen and it cracks.

Depending on what you are doing with it. To view onion pages get the tor package with Firefox this will have Vivaldi which you start and the Firefox is already configured to use it as gateway
