They don't. What they do seem to like is Apple, though. And uh... Idk can't think of anything else.
But good thread, OP. I'm glad we can finally have a thread to discuss what hipsters like. Let's use the remainder of this thread to discuss that, and not anything else.

Okay Microsoft, I'm impressed, thank you

I wanted to watch a game of CS:GO (NiP vs Titan) and there was this one Russian stream, now usually I don't have many problems with live streams, but this time Firefox lagged like crazy and it was unbearable, Chrome was slightly better but still lagged.

I'm now watching on Microsoft Edge and it's smooth as fuck!

I thought maybe the time has come to stop using my T410 with integrated intel graphics connected to a 24" monitor because the GPU can't handle it, and on top of that Flash sucks ass, but I wasn't expecting Edge to work so well

The stream in question is this btw: http://www.azubu.tv/gameshow_csgoru

Try it yourself then, faggot

I really am impressed it's working so well, I thought the advances in software would only make my GPU more obsolete but seeing the stream work so much better on Edge was a breath of fresh air.

Hell the only reason I knew Chrome was also laggy was because I wanted to find out if this was a Firefox only issue, I installed Chrome like 10 minutes ago just to test it.

I think I'm only going to be using Edge for live streams it seems. I do think the main issue is Flash here though, Jobs was right when he said it sucks

I just want to know some /g/ certified mechanical keyboards, preferably backlit, thanks

Internet advertsing companies finally woke up.

You know why adblocking works? Because most people are stupid enough to use generic IDs like "ads" and "here-goes-the-ad", so it's easier to filter them.

But a new revolution has begun in Germany, with ad scripts that finally generate random IDs and image URLs (similar to legit images) for the ads, making them unblockable.

Now we just need to wait for other companies to be smart enough to copy this obvious idea.

It's the end of adblockers.

Isn't this why there's whitelisting in NoScript?
>>

fuck.
It was nice for a while then that I could browse a site without a shitty banner for something i don't want shoving itself in my face.
I guess we'll have to wait for an adblocker than can get around this.

>Is a computer science degree a scam

No, but it's kind of pointless.

People look at Google, with $150k base salaries and barbecues and adult-sized kiddie fun slides and think it's an awesome career. But that probably represents, what, less than half a percent of all the programmers in the world?

Chances are you'll be writing stupid CRUD apps for some local bank. They'll get mad at you for fixing bugs that weren't assigned to you, and they'll be very upset when you suggest that they move away from Visual Basic.

Then, when you're 35, you'll get laid off because the company was poorly run, and you'll never get hired again because you didn't spend time literally studying books on how to game the easily gamed hiring practices of 2015.

The whole industry is a joke.

If you're good with computers, get a degree EE or mech E. Or, if you can't hack that, get a degree in business. You'll do far better as an accountant with awesome computer skills than you will as a programmer with average programming skills.

WSJ: Apple has 92% of all smartphone industry profit in Q1 2015

Crazy. This marks a 65% increase for Apple compared to a year ago.

Full chart (reason Apple + Samsung is over 100% is due to negative profit across multiple companies)

Apple is rich because they don't give a shit about their workforce.

One Apple Store employee probably earns more per hour than five Chinese kids on the assembly line combined earn in a day.

No reviews yet. Should be in the next couple of days. It won't be a world-beater, but it should be nicely in-between the 380 and 390. First full Tonga chip.

Are any more new cards going to be released in the next couple months? I was going to build a PC soon but if there's new cards coming I might wait to check new options

I mean if they're in the €200-250 range, otherwise they won't be for me

here's what I did when my PSP got bricked from the CFW uninstall fucking up

easiest, least likely to break solution

if shit goes wrong, you have a magic memory stick and can just try again

I had just convinced myself to get a 6p.

Then this shit comes along. My biggest gripe with my current Nexus 5 (2013) is how poor it runs headphones, even low imp ones. Even if I put the files onto the phone and tingle with equalizer apps, it's still really bad.

It seems this is also the case with this generation. I really like listening to music, but I do not want to carry around a mp3 player when I have a phone.

Its one of the specs that aren't shown on spec sheets but it matters just as much as ram in my book. My old htc m7 had a great level of volume. Nexus 5 was shite in that aspect and my 930 is pretty decent.
>>
>>51392548

How should I go about encrypting my hard drives?
If some gov agency would want to get to my files, they will anyway. I just want to keep my data secure in case of theft.
Is Bitlocker using XTS-AES 128bit encryption safe enough?
14 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Use hardware encryption
Most samsung ssd have this built-in or get a hardware TPM
>>
>>51392497
A nigger won't care about your data in case you steal it.

Just admit it, you have some very illegal files on your Hard Drive and you aren't willing to do the time even though you did the crime.
>>
>>51392526
as if the samsung h/w encryption isnt just as backdoor'd as bitlocker

if you are on windows and just want to protect your machine from some casual who steals your computer from a cafe then bitlocker is fine. desu most thiefs wont really give a shit about your data and will just wipe the drive but as there is no real performance hit for using bitlocker on modern machines i would just use it anyway just in case some nigga who steals it feels like maybe having a look at my files for whatever reason.
