How many of you fuckers use Kodi?
Tutorial: How to install SuperRepo on Kodi http://howtomediacenter.com/en/tutorial-how-to-install-superrepo-on-kodi/
I want to buy a simple set top box for playing my anime that's located on my NAS.
Ideally, it should just be a full fledged computer with linux so I can play video with MPV and a remote so I can control MPV.
Do these exist?
>>53704619
The one I posted in the OP and other similar ones like the Nvidia shield can do it easily. There's a shitload of anime addons for Kodi as well.

Can they play Hi10p video?
Can they handle fancy subs?
Can it maintain a decent connection speed of at least 4MB/s to my router?
I've bought other boxes in the past and they always have something wrong with them.

He's a bag of dicks, which coincidentally has no political alliance other than getting itself reconnected to something with more power.

Hello /g/. Sorry language very poverty my lol. How to I PHP code sent through SMS? Anybody can help me God bless!
>>53710570
>"poverty" language skills
well that's a new one
if i remember correctly, SMS has a character (letter/number) limit of 160, which isn't really enough for any appreciable (big) amount of PHP (or any other) code
i recommend using e-mail instead
>>53710644
How to make phone run PHP code when sent email?
>>53710670
that's not how PHP works, it would do nothing over SMS, as well
can I use rufus to make a USB with multiple boot options?
>e.g. windows & dban
>>53710154
I would recommend installing gentoo if you want to do that.
rufus just shoves stuff onto a stick.
if the stuff doesn't do multiboot, then no.
Use Sardu for that... Not Rufus.

The hardware is horrid and over priced.

is watching porn safe in a virtual machine that's in a virtual machine? is it practical to have a dual socket xeon pc with 32gbram for the sake of watching porn without hindered performance?

Manjaro. It has a hardware detection tool. Enjoy your Arch beginner mode
So I bought a rig that someone had built themselves tonight and everything seemed to be running smooth. A decent startup time and everything. I tried playing CSGO and the fps was for shit, and I was rubber banding like crazy. I have a Nighthawk router, upgraded internet speeds, and my last PC had no problems with this. So it can't be an internet issue. The specs for the new PC are as follows.
Core i5 4690k
EVGA gtx 970
16 GB RAM, four 4gb sticks, two Corsair, and two PNY
Gigabyte z97mx gaming 5
Seagate 1tb hhd
Corsair cx750m power supply
Not...

rubberbanding really isn't the same thing as low frames.
It sounds like a connection issue.
That or you're just really bad at explaining what the problem is.

turn on VSYNC.
Asking /g/, that's your problem right there.
Is Plex a honeypot?
I'm trying to cut the cord but still am contending with my girlfriend's desire for vain mainstream media (E! news, etc). Plex seems to be about hoarding data and having a paper trail whereas something like Kodi seems to be more about finding random streams online. Seems less accessible by a normie.
Thoughts, /g/?
>>53709188
>Is Plex a honeypot?
yes
>>53709250
...so?
Are you really saying plex would throw away all customers so that it can report them to the fed?
>>53709297
Yeah? Why wouldn't they? If you have an egregious amount of pirated media why wouldn't they share that information? It'd be stupidly easy to connect the dots for you to be sent to pound me in the ass prison.
Why is Microsoft so shit in every way?
They make an OS on total botnet mode which most sane people made aware of said botnet cannot enjoy, they create locked down app stores for the same OS and expect people to want to use it over a richer variety of traditional programs. They completely gimp their phone OS by releasing unfinished and buggy shit including a music app that scans files to haphazardly prevent pirated music from playing among not including apps in the barren store of overpriced chinese crap.
None of this makes sense. A company with so much intelligence...

They're waiting for the Store to take off so they can finally kill Windows.
It's all your fault. You didn't listen to Stallman. Stallman warned you that the owners of Windows OS will control your life and you didn't care

if I have a dvd iso file is that literally a 1:1 exact copy of what the original disc's video would have been like? Its just north of 4gb.
was there meant to be a question there?
>>53709126
>>53709480
yeah what the fuck are you talking about, OP?
>>53709126
Nah, there's an extra gig or so of metadata that's added.
If you're using the resulting rip on a HDMI system you can save some space by deleting the AUDIO_TS out of the rip. With HDMI the audio is carried by the video stream, the audio folder is a duplication of data in this circumstance.
What do you guys think is a better upgrade.
an additional monitor for a dual monitor setup or an internal 3tb hdd for storage ?
do you need more storage or do you need another monitor? what a retarded question.
>>53708945
in my opinion a second monitor is more valuable for any system you use frequently.
That being said >>53708966 is right.
dual monitor
Is there a site for live head-to-head coding challenges?

I've come across that before, but it seems to be more about tutorials that practicing.
bump. I've seen TopCoder recommended, but I can only find formal, cash prize challenges that are (obviously) heavily involved
