ITT: tell me manjaro ain't a ballsack
>>53714175
Plasma is heavy, if you wanted a light system xfce was the way to go.
Cinnamon is not that demanding and looks good.
Thing is kde is really heavy.
>>53714175
manjaro a shit
but your RAM problem is caused by KDE
go for a lighter DE (MATE, Xfce, etc)
also, prefer /sqt/ and /flt/ for these issues.
>>53714303
cinnamon be bootyful
>>53714661
I didn't ask for help, just stating how bad it is.
And my "problem" isn't that much related to ram usage (I can live with it damn..)
It's that Plasma fucking crashed less than half an hour after fresh install. How's this supposed to be any viable!?
I have a college project where I need to program an Arduino in C.
There is no chance I will overcome this assignment. Before I drop out over this I'd like to try to pay someone to program this assignment for me.
Where do I find Arduino developers online? Money is not an issue.
>>53714173
I will legit do it for you.
Money is the best motivaton, I'm listening
Email me the assignment

Any /g/entleman know a program that allows for a hotkey to toogle hidden files/folders on w10?

Learn how to program and do it yourself faggot
Sounds like something that would be scriptable in auto hot key. Good luck though, I despite AHK's syntax
>tfw you fell for the CS degree meme
I was looking at graduate programs that focus on machine learning. You are better of majoring in math if you want to be successful in them.
>math requirements for a cs degree

discrete math

I mostly picked math electives for my CS degree so I got most of that background
What sort of shit school you go to that didn't prepare you for this?
But really, machine learning is a fucking meme. Zero practical application.
Math major CS minor atm. Start doing your own projects. improve yourself beyond "required classes"
My stepmother (mid-sixties) recently sent me an email with the subject line "Fwd: Fd: Fwd: Virus", with text that Googles to Snopes etc. debunking it as a pretty obvious fake.
I figure it's time to have "the talk" with her about cyber security. What issues should I be sure to cover?

The tech support requests from my family have disappeared after I bought them all memePads.
Looking for a good 27 inch 1440p Korean monitor. Small bezles. Good colors. Good for gaymen (low latency, etc).
Someone at Razer is jerking off to this picture.
/g/ used to have such a hard on for A- Korean monitors.
All of my information is out of date. Who knows what brands are decent these days.
>>53713830
You ain't gonna get any small bezels on a Korean budget monitor out of the box. Most of them around around 5-8ms, which improves when over clocking them. Most of the PLS monitors can overclock to 90-96 refresh rate, with no problem, a few can reach 120. Colors are nice on both the PLS, and AVHA displays.
Qnix evolution II is the most popular monitor, single Dual DVI, with PLS display.
hey NVIDIA you better get a team to crack DENUVO games or I'm done buying a $800 card every 6 months. Why should I upgrade if the only games I can play for free are old or indie shit?
>>53713827
>Can afford 800$ graphics card every 6 month
>Can't afford 20-40$ games
>>53713880
>Paying for full games with no refunds despite offering no demos; completely in the dark about how you feel about the game.
When will this meme die. The gaming industry is fucking ratchet. I shouldn't have to choose between not playing a game or buying it. I almost preordered the division, need for speed and star wars battlefront. Each of those games were fucking awful. That would have been 180$ BASE PRICE down the drain dude. For games I play 30 minutes of and quit? How is that fair?
>>53714276
Maybe you should go back to /v/ and then research games before you buy them
all this talk about iphones and android phones and shit, well if you're that smart then why is it that you still can't get a gf /g/?
>>53713825
why would girlFriends be a suitable topic for discussion in /g/?
that makes no sense. this board is for technoloGee

If you don't want to build one yourself find a mate who will do it for you. Offer them £50 for the job which should be more than enough for any enthusiast to undertake it and will cost far less than the premium you would pay with a specialist.
You probably don't need to spend £1300 though, that shit is overkill and you should only really be spending that kind of money if you want bleeding edge technology which will be out of date and half the price in six months' time. £750 for a tower all...

Start qith Python, then once you have a good grasp on it, move to a better language like C.
>>53713717
not anyone can learn to program. you have to have some amount of brain matter and patience
>>53713717
Who said it was easy
Memes aside, how useful are artificial neural networks? With the right parameters and the use of genetic algorithms to find the right topology you can let it run by itself and in a few hours you'll have a useful Super Mario bot (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv6UVOQ0F44).
>>53713677
That's exactly what makes them so useful: the simulation does all the work for you! Now, the issue is actually controlling these towards useful purposes like design: I recall a similar method was used to design circuit boards with the interesting caveat that the program used the physical specifications of the individual boards, right down to integrating what would otherwise be defects unique to the specific board into their design.
Anyone know about the article I'm talking about?
>>53713677
Does this help it the network play other levels of mario? Or is this just memorizing the level?
>>53715024
Given enough levels, it will learn enough to beat each level faster.
Prove to me that windows 10 is not a botnet
>>537137
thanks senpai
A botnet is a number of Internet-connected computers communicating with other similar machines in which components located on networked computers communicate and coordinate their actions by command and control or by passing messages to one another.

Toying with my OPO's DPI, I want stuff to look smaller but anything under 480 gives me horrid jagged edges on app icons. Any way to prevent that?
Also, post your DPIs.
LG G4 - stock 640dpi.
Some say bringing this down to 540dpi is ideal, but nah.
400 for 1080p screens.
>>53713757
What is objectively wrong with infinitely growing DPI? What not 600,000 theoretical DPI on a 5.5" screen? Physics and impossibility aside, why would "too good display" ever be a bad thing?
Why don't we crowdsource to produce the perfect phone?
