Why do you not use SD cards for backing up your data?

Because I have a NAS and external drives I keep offline until needed which offer higher capacities than currently available SD cards at a fraction of the price while not requiring the use of an adapter for my desktops.

Well, seriously this is pretty worrying development. Seems like DX12 rendering paths are very hardware specific and if the developer doesn't bother to properly optimize paths for both AMD and NVIDIA then only owners of one vendors card get to really enjoy the game.
The catch with DX12 is that the developers are required to do optimizations which previously were driver level in DX11. This means that if one game heavily favours AMD or NVIDIA the other can't even use drivers to catch up.
Another game that performs absolutely abysmally on other vendor and fine on other is Hitman, 380X beats GTX970 easily in that title.
PC gaming is pretty much doomed if we get lots of AAA titles that run like crap even on high end cards if you happen to have one from "wrong" vendor.

I use AMD because I can use the free drivers and be able to game on Linux. The only problem are the games that are only released for nvidia, makes me mad.

My friend and I have been debating about the power source of the future.
I think, electricity is the top contender. Electronics being very electricity driven, I can't imagine them being powered and/or controlled any other way. Most energy we create (solar, nuclear, hydro) seems to be converted into electricity at some point.
My buddy thinks the development and storing of nuclear or solar energy seems a more likely contender and much more efficient source of energy. Electronics will be replaced by holographs or some other sort of wireless emissions of data somehow…(quite far of a stretch but limited knowledge keeps me from expanding)
So, /g/, what do you ladies and /g/entlemen think about this subject? Who do you agree with? Are we both wrong? Alternate theories, ideas, thoughts.
All of our power comes from the sun except for some geo-thermal due to plates and radioactive materials. The sun will be the power of the future as it always has been.
I think electricity will be the main way of powering all our systems. We have massive amount of energy in the universe. Once we are able to harness all of that energy somehow and in some way, we will become the most powerful entities in the universe.
I think all of our electronics will be powered by something in the future.
Having a small issue with my phone, and am wondering how many of you also have it.
When I plug my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 into the charger it charges slowly, and if I disconnect and plug back in it fast charges, it is slightly annoying, but when I disconnect it and plug back in it charges slowly again.
How many of you have this issue? Are there any ways to fix it?
